Tomorrow, Sunday, October 25, brings us the Hunter’s Moon, the traditional name for October’s full moon. As the days grow shorter and we move deeper into autumn, this is a beautiful time to pause, take stock of where we are, and consider what we need to gather, release, or prepare for in the season ahead.

The Hunter’s Moon has traditionally been associated with preparation, gathering resources, and getting ready for the coming winter. Spiritually, I like to think of it as an invitation to recognize what we’ve learned, acknowledge the strength we’ve gathered along the way, and become more intentional about where we’re putting our energy.

A Three-Card Hunter’s Moon Tarot Spread

When you have a few quiet moments tomorrow, grab your favorite Tarot or Oracle deck and spend some time with these three questions.

Card 1: What have I gathered?​
What wisdom, strength, or experience have I gained that deserves to be acknowledged? Sometimes we move so quickly from one challenge to the next that we forget how much we’ve grown. Take inventory and give yourself a pat on the back!

Card 2: What am I ready to release?​
What belief, habit, expectation, or energetic attachment is no longer serving the person I am becoming? Let the cards help you look honestly at what you’re carrying that you'd benefit from putting down.

Card 3: What should I prepare for?​
Where would it serve me to focus my energy, attention, and intention as I move into the next season of my life? Look for practical guidance you can put into action.

After you turn over your cards, give yourself a little time to sit with them. Notice what stands out, what surprises you, and what connects with something you’ve already been thinking or feeling. You might even jot down a few notes and revisit them in a week or two.

Remember, the cards aren’t here to make your decisions for you. They’re tools for connecting with Spirit, listening to your higher self, and seeing your circumstances from a fresh perspective. You are the power. The cards are simply tools to help you access it.
